Deb, one of the owners, called me. “It’s on the press now. What should we do?”

I ran over, and Deb took me back into the shop. A pile of blank card stock stood on one side of the press, and a neat stack of newly printed cards on the other. We decided to halt the press run.

It tells you something about Paul Wellstone and his campaign staff that a lot of work was put into registering new voters and getting them out on Election Day. While many campaigns concentrate on known voters, Paul Wellstone got people who never voted before to exercise their rights.

Which brings us to the proposed voter restriction amendment on the November 6 ballot. Please, vote NO.
